The Sycamores is served by the Mustang School District, a system that serves around 12,000 students and was recently named one of the state’s best places to work. Students will attend Mustang Trails Elementary just minutes away, Mustang North Middle School, and Mustang High School, which enjoys an educational and training partnership with nearby Canadian Valley Technology Center. Mustang schools are consistently ranked among the top in Oklahoma and are committed to providing all students with exceptional academic, athletic, and artistic opportunities.
With I-40 and the Kilpatrick Turnpike just a few miles away, The Sycamores enjoys quick access to places in and around Oklahoma City while remaining close to the small-town activities, atmosphere, and convenience of Yukon. The newly-completed northwestern corner of the Kilpatrick Turnpike puts everything from the natural beauty of Lake Overholser and Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge to the bustle of NW Expressway or Memorial Rd within a 20-drive. Or, you can take it south to HWY 152 and Will Rogers World Airport and the city’s southwest side. You can take HWY 4 south through the rural suburbs of the TriCity area, including Tuttle, Newcastle, and Blanchard, or you can take I-40 straight out of town toward the state parks and outdoor adventures of Western Oklahoma.
The Sycamores is just south of Yukon proper, a booming metro suburb with more amenities than you can imagine; minutes from the I-40 corridor of west Oklahoma City; and just 5 miles north of Mustang’s Wild Horse Park, a 158-acre park boasting playgrounds, walking and biking trails, soccer and baseball complexes, a fenced dog park, and a state-of-the-art aquatic center. Yukon offers charming local flavor during its popular community events like Christmas in the Park and annual Czech heritage festivals as well as a big commercial feel with major retail, dining, and entertainment at the junction of I-40 and Garth Brooks Blvd and the OKC Outlets just 10 minutes away.
Residents of The Sycamores can enjoy short, stress-free commutes to almost anywhere in the surrounding metro area, including El Reno, Yukon, Moore, Mustang, Bethany, and Oklahoma City. Easy access to Reno Ave, a hub of manufacturing and logistics that parallels I-40; I-40, which traverses the city; HWY 4; and the newly-completed western loop of the John Kilpatrick Turnpike put plenty of employers just 15 minutes away or closer, including:
